Clara Barton Scholarship
What Is the Clara Barton Scholarship?
The Clara Barton Scholarship is designed to support aspiring nursing students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, community involvement, and a commitment to serving others through healthcare. Named in honor of Clara Barton, the pioneering nurse and founder of the American Red Cross, the scholarship helps reduce financial barriers and encourages students to pursue rewarding careers in nursing and patient care.
The Clara Barton Scholarship is an initiative by Olaro International that supports the legal spouses of our contracted registered nurses who are also qualified registered nurses. The scholarship provides financial assistance and guidance throughout the NCLEX-RN, U.S. licensure, and immigration journey, helping nursing couples pursue rewarding careers in the United States together.
By supporting both spouses, the scholarship promotes family unity while creating greater opportunities for professional growth and long-term success in the U.S. healthcare system.
Why the Clara Barton Scholarship Matters
The Clara Barton Scholarship helps nursing families establish themselves in the United States by creating a dual-income household from the beginning. Both nursing spouses are placed in the same hospital with dedicated support, helping ensure a smoother transition and greater financial stability for the entire family.
The Clara Barton Scholarship is an independent scholarship program established by Olaro International. It is named in honor of Clara Barton, the pioneering American nurse and founder of the American Red Cross, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Red Cross or any Clara Barton organization or foundation.
Who May Qualify?
Nurses who are legally married to a registered nurse. Both spouses must be working as bedside nurses in a hospital with 100 or more beds, have a minimum of one year of clinical experience, and hold an active RN license in the country where they are currently practicing
